In response to your September 13, 1999, letter, this will serve as confirmation that the

Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee and its Dallas and Houston subcommittees

have terminated their investigation of your client, Nolo Press HOU 97-067, and DAL

97-125. Based on the recent legislative changes, the UPLC has asked that their

subcommittees no longer pursue any pending investigations involving those self-help

legal publications to which the legislation applies.
